  21. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:

Coral World is a five acre marine park and underwater observatory. Watertight pods descend 20 feet into the sea bed. A man-made reef - with flocks of fish - is visible through hugh eight-foot picture windows. Another attraction at Coral World is the gigantic 50,000 gallon tank filled with sharks, for those non-scuba types who want to get a closer look.

  25. Free parking in front of Coral World, just adjacent to Coki Beach. There is a short flight of steps leading down to the beach from the parking lot.

  27. QUALITY OF BEACH:
  28. Coki is a short stretch of beach with luxuriant white sand bordered by brilliant sapphire-colored water. There is a small reef just offshore for divers to explore.

  30. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

This beach seems to have packed it all into a small area. There are picnic tables, snorkel and scuba rentals and, of course, a bar. The local fish population has gotten used to feedings by snorkelers. In fact, they seem to hover close to the reef and wait for handouts. ItΓÇÖs an amazing feeling when hundreds of brilliantly-colored fish (Sergeant Majors, Parrot fish, and Gar) surround and envelope you in a colorful feeding frenzy. Bring cookies and watch your fingers. (Just kidding.)
